This past weekend I had the opportunity to do something I never thought I would do...I went deep sea fishing! It took a lot of convincing to get me to sign up, but once I did I ended up having a great time. 47 people from my summer campground pitched in and rented a charter boat from Hampton Beach. We packed coolers full of snacks and drinks, rented a bus and sang songs, and spent 8 hours together on a boat. It was a great bonding experience! To make it even better I even caught the first fish of the day....

In addition to catching the first fish, I also caught another Cod and 3 SHARKS! As we were moving to find a new location to fish I saw the most amazing thing...3 whales and close to 15 dolphins starting swimming around our boat. It was the coolest thing I have ever seen and the crew said they have never seen anything like it before. The little kids on the boat were in awe and will definitely remember this for the rest of their lives.
Overall, it was a great experience and something I will never forget. We are going to try and make it an annual trip, and next year I'll start the day off with a positive feeling and hopefully win biggest fish! (2nd place this year ughhh)
This sounds like a really fun experience. A friend of mine told me this weekend that his dad got a boat and he wants me to go fishing with him. I'm not sure if it will be on a lake or in the ocean yet, but I'm excited to be going out at some point. I'm a little bit nervous about the idea because I can't swim well and you never know what might happen. I hope to have the same outlook you had at the end of your trip.
