Sunday and Monday was spent at family cookouts eating as much as my stomache could handle. The little kids at my campground put on a parade where they all dressed up in costumes and marched around the streets. It was so cute!
While I had a great carefree weekend, I made sure to think of the importance of this holiday and what it stands for. One of my best friends just returned from Afghanistan and I called him to make sure he knew how proud I was and how thankful I was that he put his life on the line to defend the independence we were all celebrating.
Well, this is my first blog entry so I am just learning how to put an entry together and playing around with the features. Sooo, lets finish it off with some off cool photos my boyfriend shot this past weekend while putting on a professional firework show. So scary!

I think that the hand print on your arm is very funny, but I am hoping it is not too painful. I also think it's really interesting and sounds very exciting that you got to watch a professional firework show in the making/process.
ReplyDeleteI won't lie I did get a laugh out of the handprint on your arm. Did you just fall asleep with your hand on your arm?
ReplyDeleteIt seems that many people these days don't considering what July 4 means passed getting together to shoot off some fireworks. It is a day to celebrate the American spirit of never giving up on things you believe in. The US Women's Soccer team win over Brazil is a great example of this. Down one goal with only minutes to go in the game they tied and, ultimately, won the game. There may be times individuals who feel like they want to give up, but they still have at least a piece of the never give up spirit.
